The Chair of Health Economics Prof. Dr. Armando Meier , at the Faculty of Business and Economics of the University of Basel invites applications for a student research assistant (HiWi) position with a 20% appointment (6-8 hours or more per week). The successful applicant will work in a research group working on topics related to health, education, environmental, and behavioral economics. Start date: as soon as possible as agreed with the candidate
Your position
You will become part of an ambitious international research group and are welcome to interact closely with members of the new Basel Center for Health Economics (BCHE). Your tasks include research (e.g., literature search, data preparation, data analyses), teaching support (e.g., updating references and slides, providing feedback), and administration (e.g., help with website, reports, workshop organization).
Your profile
Bachelor or Master student at the University of Basel or a closeby university Good grades and a very high willingness to attain good statistics/econometrics as well as economics skills, first experience with STATA, Python or R is an advantage Passion and curiosity about working on economics topics and with data
